Sustainability

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) standard, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in 1998, is the most well known, all-encompassing, whole-building standard in the U.S. The program uses a rating system to guide sustainable project development for construction. Construction projects accrue points and are awarded certification levels ranging from Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum levels. The USGBC also offers education programs for the professional accreditation of people to earn the title of LEED AP.
