The building, at 209-211 Hester Street was completely gutted and stripped down to its walls in order to create a space that would make up this 14 unit condominium.
The intricacies of this conversion included the addition of a penthouse floor, acoustically isolated floors, new ‘city quiet’ windows, imported Italian kitchens and bathroom finishes, all new doors and a new elevator installation. The space boasts that it is the only building in all of New York City to have exposed wood timber and plank framing.
